What does Waterparks mean to you?

We asked the Waterparks fans of Twitter what the band means to them, how they found the band, and how the band has impacted their lives and we got quite a few responses! It was hard to choose which ones to include but I narrowed it down to these!

"I discovered Waterparks in 2017 when All Time Low announced they were touring together and immediately made a huge connection to their music. They’re the reason I started discovering more bands I love now and getting into smaller bands and I probably wouldn’t have any of the friends I have now if it weren’t for them. Their music has impacted me in a way no other band’s has and they all are so sweet and supportive of the people who support them and because of that they’ve helped me get back into music and art and challenge myself creatively. Whenever I’m feeling uninspired or upset or unmotivated, their music is always what I turn to that helps." -Katherine (@numbmyfeelings)

"They mean the absolute world to me. They’re always so genuine with fans and are so interactive I love them very much. They’ve helped me through a lot and I’m extremely grateful for that. They’re always meeting fans, interacting online, following fans on twitter, etc. they just mean the whole world to me and I'd die for them." -Katie (@AWSTENlSDIZZY)

"Waterparks is a band that means so much to me. Their music has gotten me through some of the toughest times in my life and I wouldn’t have met my best friends if it wasn’t for them. Awsten, Geoff, and Otto are all so true to themselves and that’s been a big inspiration to me to just live my life authentically to who I am. They’re also some of the nicest people that I’ve ever met and they always make their shows feel so accepting. My life wouldn’t be as bright without Waterarks in it." -Shan (@tantrumm)

"They honestly mean the world to me. Waterparks was one of the first bands I really got into and I'm so glad I decided to click on the I'm a Natural Blue music video when I did! Without them I wouldn't have made most of my friends and might not even be alive right now." -Jaye (@nevrbIoomagain)

"When I think of Waterparks, I think of all the wonderful friends I’ve made because of them. I think of all the wonderful memories I’ve made to their music. Whether those memories be late night drives with my friends with their songs blasting in the background or it’s screaming the words to a Waterparks song at my friends at their concert or making weird jokes about them with my friends. "Waterparks mean a lot to me. I've only discovered them a few months ago (late October) and they've already become one of my favorite bands. Listening to Waterparks has, as cheesy as this sounds, greatly increased my quality of life. I have formed so many amazing friendships thanks to this little band. "When I found I was in a really bad mindset and their music brought me out of my mind and got me to live my life again. Waterparks have always made me feel okay, safe and happy. I gave them all letters when I met them during the entertainment tour but I’ll always be eternally grateful for them actually saving my life. "Waterparks actually means a lot to me now, although around a year ago I tried to avoid them. I'm glad I changed my mind in June though. I found some friends through Waterparks, made some really bad inside jokes, got addicted to a rather unusual podcast that helps me sleep at night and a lot of music and interviews that change my head space when I'm stuck in a bad place. Also, I found Geoff's girlfriend(Chloe) via Waterparks & she does great, vegan cooking stuff/posts recipes which are really cool to try out. All of this kinda changed my life and also keeps me kinda grounded...also I can't remember what I even did on Twitter before I started annoying Awsten. So...they changed a lot and I'm just really fricking thankful."-Sam (@yukikox3)

"I’m not as into Waterparks as I used to be (Or So I Claim) but their music still makes me so happy and there are some songs that I associate with my closest friends and they mean a lot to me. Also when I met Awsten on the young renegades tour he gave me probably the best hug I’ve ever gotten in my Life, not to be soft." -Ryan (@winterrsweather)

"Waterparks has changed my life in more ways than anyone will ever understand. Each of them inspires me to keep going and their music has always been there me. Waterparks is the first band that comes to mind when I’m sad and need a good cry or when I need to hype myself up. The lyrics are strung together so well that there’s no doubt you can find something you relate to and that hits just right. They have gotten me through some tough times especially recently and it’s nice to know I have a band to rely on that is always there. I also made some of my closest friends through Waterparks. "Waterparks means so much to me. I can’t put them under one word, category, etc because of the amount of things they’ve done for me. Their music has gotten me through so much over the past year and I’m just so excited for new music. They inspire me so much every day and motivate me to keep going. They’ve sparked so many new ideas for me to expand my art/drawing skills, and I’ve even gotten into playing the guitar because of parx! They’ve brought me closer to so many amazing people, and I’ve met many close friends through them. I’m very happy to have found this band because I can now be a part of a loving and accepting community. I cannot explain how wonderful they truly are because they are all around fantastic. I dont know where I would be without them. They truly are an inspiration!
